Each product has specific size characteristics that affect sound, playability, and portability.


2. How to Measure Correctly

For Handpan Drums & Tongue Drums



Measurement How to Measure
Diameter Measure across the center of the drum from edge to edge
Height/Depth Measure from the bottom of the drum to the highest point of the top shell
Weight As specified on the product page (use a standard scale)

For Kalimbas & Lyre Harps



Measurement How to Measure
Length Measure from the top to the bottom of the instrument body (excluding tines/strings)
Width Measure at the widest point of the instrument body
Tine/Key Count Count the number of tines or keys

3. Important Notes on Size Variations

Due to the handmade nature of many of our instruments, please be aware of the following:



Factor Expected Variation
Handcrafted instruments ±0.5 cm (±0.2 inches) is normal
Measuring method differences Slight variations may occur depending on how you measure
Manufacturing tolerances Each instrument is individually tuned and finished

Note: The size information provided on each product page is accurate to within ±0.5 cm (±0.2 inches). This is standard for handcrafted musical instruments.

Please take the following steps before placing your order:

  •  Check the product photos – Many listings include size comparison photos

  •  Review customer reviews – Other buyers often share size feedback

5. What If My Instrument Doesn't Fit My Expectations?

If you receive an instrument and the size differs significantly from what was described on the product page (beyond the normal tolerance of ±0.5 cm):

  • Please contact us within 15 calendar days of delivery

  • Provide photos showing the measurement

  • We will review your case under our Return & Refund Policy

Please note: Normal manufacturing variations (±0.5 cm) are not considered defects and are not eligible for return, unless the size difference affects the playability or sound quality of the instrument.
